In a tiny slum (Gabba Village) on the shores of lake Victoria.



She stands on a fragile wooden panel, balancing between hope and despair. Behind her, a tin shack—her home. Beneath her feet, uncertainty.



When the rains come, they don’t just bring water; they bring fear. Fear that the ground will give way. Fear that the little she calls home might not be there tomorrow. Fear that she might not make it back at all.



For many, rain is a welcome blessing. For her, it’s a gamble. On stormy nights, the odds are never in her favor.



This is not just her story. It is the story of millions—children living on the edge, not just of poverty, but of survival itself.



Yet, even in the face of such odds, hope persists. That same hope fuels the work we do—because no child should ever have to wonder if home will still be there when the rain stops.
